Installation question.

Hi,

Just a quick question to clarify the installation.

I will re-install X3 and patch to 2.5 but do I need to install the Extended mod pack and or the Bala G missions before installing New Horizons?

If you mean the XTM Mod by "Extended mod pack" then please take into account that XTM and NH Mods are not compatible to each other. Edit: EMP is included in XTM, so you must not install EMP as it leads to problems!

With respect to the 2.5 ES patch it´s neccessary to patch first to 2.5 and then install the Mods.

Sorry, that was a silly statement on my part regarding the EMP. 8-(

I really meant did I need to install all the X3 extras such as Bala G and the extra scripts pack for the vanilla X3?

You confuse me (not my day).

Which game/mod do you want to play (as this is NH tech forum)?

- X3 vanilla
- XTM
- NH

Bala Gi is included in X3 and you don´t need to install anything if you patched X3.
Therefore Bala Gi is available in XTM unless you use a custom start. Please have a look in the main forum there is currently a thread running on exactly this question.

To business...... ;)

To play NH you first need to install X3, then patch it to version 2.5 (this adds the Bala Gi missions as they are part of ES patches, you don't get a choice as to install them or not). The you need to install ES's Bonus Pack 1.3.07 and then install NH.
