We need to get some BBS's to give the Sohnen, Otas and Goner seperatists more depth. To pave the way for the plot, the MSY and the like.

Suggest numerous small BBS's like:

-Unknown ship sightings (2)
-David vs Goliath Battle reports (small Sohnen Seperatist M6 destroying a Titan or Orca or whatever....DONT NAME THE SOHNEN IN THIS!, name them Unknowns or any synonym in that regard). (2)
-Goner armed wing sightings (2)
-Terran Argon negotiations (1)
-Dyson Sphere reports (unknown artifact)
-Otas HQ reports
-Otas rumors (1)
-Other races worrying about Argon/Terran involvement (1)
-Sohnen Loyalists explained a little...prep messages..sightings, confusion to these not being so advanced.

Pirate Raid quickly stopped

when solar power plant m in Aladna hill yesterday came under atack of a quite large pirate raid unit, the station owner was about to send his last prayer. Suddenly a small ship, later descibed as either a m4 or m3 jumped in. Surprisingly, it headed direkt for the pirate group and startet atacking them. It opened fire, and while the numerous turrets took care of the m5´s, the immense front gun humiliated the novas. Within seconds of unbeliveable intense combat, The smaller pirate vessels were simply blown away.
The Pirate m6, realizing that it had no chances to fight this superior attacker, started its jumpdrive. Few seconds before the jumpdrive ignition, the unknown ship launched a unbelieveable powerfull missile that eventually hit the m6 the moment the jump started. The ship and the missile completely dissaperared, but bypassing freigter captains in Split Fire reported a huge, out of nowhere coming explosion blasting away half of the asteroid field. further investigations showed fine dust of pirate origin.

Resons for this unexpected help are objekt of speculation, most people think of it as beeing some kind act of revenge.

As the ship didn´t fit into any common building scheme and was using point to point jumpdrive, there´s a lot of curiousity regarding the race origin of this ship. The station owner claims that the ship even belongs to a yet to discover race - an assumption that no rational beeing can agree with.

Split officals are investigating sightings of an unknown ship, a leaked report revealed today.

According to sources within the Split hierarchy, Sai't Lt, a freelance Split trader, saw the unknown ship while making a journey through Argon space. The trader noticed the ship while scanning local traffic in a sector close by Thyn's Abyss, thought to be Black Hole Sun, and moved in closer to investigate.

When he got within 5 km of the other ship, the ship simply vanished off the Gravidar, and despite Sai't Lt's efforts, could not be located again.

This report is adding to Split officials concerns of a secret Boron cloaking technology that is under development. Boron authorities have denied all knowledge, suggesting instead that it is a Split ploy to launch an offensive against Oceans Fantasy, in their desire to expand Split borders.

The ship in question is the Sohnen M3.

A Terran and Argon meeting rumor:


A Leaked report from Terracorp Headquarters has begun to confirm rumors of an impending military agreement between Argon and Terran officials.

The document identified a meeting that was hosted aboard the Terracorp flagship recently. The Terracorp ship flew an Argon diplomat to a prearranged point in Circle of Labor, where it was to meet with a Terran vessel.

At the meeting, discussions of how the Terran can provide support to the Argon military forces was discussed, mainly centered around weapon and shielding technology.

It was also leaked that the Terracorp representatives did not like some aspects of the proprosal (though what specificaly they disliked was not detailed), and have refused to aid in any more talks.

Argon senators have refused to comment on such rumors.

Leading authorities within the Profit guild met today after the recent rumors of an Argon and Terran treaty.

The Paranid Xaar himself called for the meeting, which is taking place at an undisclosed location in Trinity Sanctum, reportedly after he was given some form of confirmation on these rumors. No evidence of this has yet been produced to the media.

The feeling amongst those attending the meeting was clearly a forboding one, as the Teladi Ambassador to the Paranid, Gutosos Lotunis Hanirases III, was heard muttering something about lost profits, while the Split Ambassador to the Teladi, Ra't Ktt, was seen scurrying into the meeting with an uncharacteristically fearful look on his face.

We await further news of this meeting.

The whiskey poured freely at a recent party held at the Tupmanckoknnid Bar on Paranid Prime. At the height of the revelries, Paranid pilot Taimanckosset blurted out a story that has been making the rounds in all innkeeping establishments this side of Emperor's Mines ever since.

Taimanckosset talked of an attempted hijacking of a ship flagged on his gravidar as a Gonor ship. After demanding surrender, the Gonor ship refused. Taimanckosset, surprised but unphased, demanded that the vile unholy one aceed to his command, only to be greated by a barrage of Hept fire.

The Paranid returned fire, but it rapidly became obvious that he would lose his Persus, and so he backed out of the conflict, speeding away to regroup with his squadron. He lost contact with the Gonor ship, and has been laughed at and severly disciplined for the damage received to his vessel.

Ok, I agree with your adjustments Mox. Regarding Gepards, I think he's referring to the Sohnen M3. I also think he's referring to the new lasers, and the missile script.

If he's not referring to the missile script, I'm clueless. He'll have to enlighten us.

The SohnenL M3 is not going to get any special weaponry nor will it recieve very powerfull missiles...and the SohnenS, well...why would they bother with M3's at all....they simply use what's at hand when in need of some by mindcontrolling them.
So thats where the excellence flows over in bogus.
Tbh I'm fine with that...not every report needs to be spot on...as is often the case with news in reality also.

Raiders beaten by 'peaceful' Goner?

Earlier this Wozura, a raiding group from the base in Brennan's Triumph attacked a Goner supply convoy, with the intent of picking up some hassle-free cargo.

As the Harriers closed in with the demands for the Goner to drop the cargo, the Goner ships turned and opened fire on the Pirate group as they demanded the cargo. The raiders, absolutely stunned by this bizarre turn of events were annhilated quickly, and the remaining pilots turned and fled the scene to later report their embarrasing failure. There has been several other reports of Goner fighting back when in trouble, but up until now there has been no real reports.

If you're going by the bar, we recommend you have a Space Fuel and drink to the Brennan's Triumph raiding group who were beaten by the Goner.

There has been much relief in Light of Heart and the surrounding sectors over the last mazura as the damage done by Kha'ak invasions has been reduced significantly.

Unknown ships have made repeated sorties against aggressive Kha'ak targets, resulting in less attacks overall.

Fighters and corvette class ships have been confirmed taking part in the sorties, but up to the present, no one has been able to identify who owns the ships nor what race they belong to.

The Argon governor of Light of Heart, Terrel Brano, has welcomed this assistance, encouraging the unknown group to come forward and take the credit they deserve.

Another one based around a David and Goliath idea (note no particular Sohnen ship referred to, but I'd suggest an M7):


The Argon Navy are today coming to terms with the dramatic loss of the Achilles, a Titan class destroyer only recently built and put on active duty.

At present reports are sketchy, and the Argon Navy are providing few details. It seems that the Achilles was making routine patrols of the Argon Border sectors around Omicron Lyrae, when it came across an unknown ship.

After repeated communication attempts failed, the Achilles captain, Sihoban Cheram, ordered a warning shot to be fired across the bow of the unknown vessel. Immediately after the warning shot was fired, the ship returned fire and obliterated the Titan in moments.

Fortunately many of the crew were transported to the escape pods, but 31 crew members died in the tragedy, including Captain Cheram.

Anxious relatives are awaiting further news of to their loved ones at Antigone's Memorial. The Argon Senate has condemned the attack and is ordering a full investigation.

The Achilles was the third vessel to carry that name in the Argon Navy. Each of it's predecessors were destroyed in mysterious circumstances and the Navy has now decided not to name any future ships after the tragic Greek warrior.

Here's one about Unknown ship attacking Terrans:


Trader reports have come in today after sightings of a confrontation between a Terran Vidar and an unknown fighter.

Traders noticed the Vidar pursuing the unknown ship into a small asteroid field in Circle of Labor, when the fighter turned quickly and fired a weapon never seen before. The weapon's beam hit the Terran corvette and the whole starboard side was devistated by the impact.

As the corvette manouvered to retaliate, the fighter fired once again, hitting the Terran ship's reactor causing a fireball to engulf the ship.

No survivors were reported, and no trace of the fighter has been found by Argon Intelligence.

The Argon Intelligence Service is mystified after an unknown transmission from a freelance surveyor was recently intercepted, the location of whom is unknown.

The garbled transmission contained references to an 'artificial' planetoid and 'strange energy readings' as well as a 'slight glow' around the object. The message then ended with the surveyor sending out a distress call as unknown ships closed on him. No more reports have been heard from the sender, nor has similar information been discovered.

Speculation is rife that the surveyor may have encountered a Kha'ak artifact, or indeed, may have encountered something to do with the mysterious unknown ships that have been appearing recently.

The Surveyor, believed to be the Argon Male, Marcus Oiran, who has been undergoing some asteroid surveying for Terracorp as a third party, has been labelled as missing, probably dead, and Terracorp is offering his family their condolences.

We urge anyone with any further information to come forward.

The circumstances of this discovery are rather tragic, as [PARANID_NAME], a popular paranid celberety and daredevil, got blasted away by the new M6 version. He was knovn for killing xenon m6 with a m4 simply by sneaking up behind them and opening fire while hiding behinds its back. When paranid scouts found a single m6 roaming their sectors, it was the perfect time for [that_NAME_AGAIN] to get his stund taped. He flew behind the Xenon, using some remarkable maneuvers and his strafe drife. Then the tragedy happened, the second he openend fire, the M6 suddenly revealed some hidden turrest and responded fire! [NAME_AGAIN] of course was chanceless, and realizing that his last minute had begun, he unsecured his missiles, engaged his boost extension, and with an heroic scream he crashed his ship into the M6´s thruster array, resulting in an immense explosion that killed both him and the xenon ship. [maybe needs some extension? damatization?] all this was caught on tape by paranid televison. Therefore, the video the paranid´s heroic death has soon spread all around the universe, and many people wonder where that new m6 came form. While most scientists think that this is simply "evolution", some even claim that the old xenon m6 was nothing but a "beta" of the actual one. [*wink* @ egosoft :D]

Take something like "Aramanckartselt".
Creating paranid names is not as difficult as teladi or split names. The rules are just:

- there has to be a "manck" in the name
- it has to end on a consonant (or more than one)
- it has to be hard to say (don't actually know the word for "aussprechen")

You need to select the race you want a name for, the sex, and then press the Generate Name button.

It'll then create a new name, and copy it to the clipboard ready for pasting.

Paranid Poseidon Galnet:


After several mazuras of development on adapting the Agamemnon to uses within the Paranid Military, it was decided by the Pontifax Maximus to develop a new breed of destroyer that would utilise the Heavy Missile Cannon.

Work progressed quickly, and within four mazuras the first prototype of the new destroyer was ready for field testing. The military commanders decided to use the new ship to destroy a Pirate Base in Priests Pity. The new ship, dubbed the Platypus by its crew, engaged the Base using the eight front mounted HMCs, and obliterated the Pirate menace within sezuras.

The mission, hailed through the Paranid Empire as a success, paved the way for a number of the new destroyers joining the Paranid fleet in both the core and border sectors. Given the class name Poseidon, the new breed of ship has become a successful asset to the Paranid Military and is the strategic element around which most current taskforces are built around.
