View Full Version : Station destruction by Xenon + gravidar readings

I have a few questions/comments/suggestions/etc...

First off I've noticed that sectors adjacent to Xenon sectors see a lot of action in this mod. The two in particular that I've noticed are Black Hole Sun and Grand Exchange.
While BHS had plenty of protection, GE had virtually no protection save me in a Otas Reaper but I had to bail after a while as Xenon Qs kept coming in.

My question there is what prevents the Xenon from destroying everything in there and taking the sector over? Clearly in the case of GE there were no Teladi military forces there to keep things at bay.

My second and third questions are sort of related and deal with gravidar reading. Before the mod I detected everything out to the max range of the gravidar. Now sometimes I won't see a ship until it's about 2/3 in the field. Not all ships are this way...just some.
The worst bit is in Black Hole Sun itself. I cannot detect the Equipment Dock to save my life. I can see it. I can fly into it. But I cannot select it in space, from the ship list, etc. It's there but it's not there. A bug here?

Lastly why can't the Otas Reaper fire the "unknown object" missiles?

Anyway....beyond the minor details this is an excellent mod! :D

Alright strike that about the Equipment Dock in Black Hole Sun. I see why I couldn't detect it now.

[spoiler:800b13f42b]Why doesn't it come up as "Station Debris" instead of just being a junk hulk?[/spoiler:800b13f42b]

Destroyed stations don't show up on the map as station debris.

Station debris that was placed there at the start of the game might do though.

Unknown missiles is a decision we took, mainly to balance the Reaper.

Xenon Patrols will never 'take over' a sector. They'll destroy things, but that's it. They pass through sectors and destroy what they come into contact with.

Yes, station debris positioned at the start of the game is the only debris that will show on the map.

So then that station was destroyed in a Xenon raid? Is that what I'm to understand? Just trying to clarify. Thanks for the responses.

Yes, either a Xenon or Khaak attack, and perhaps under rare circumstances, a Pirate raiding party.
