GUT doesnt work properly

Hey i just started this mod to check it out, made a fresh install

everything seems to work fine but the GUT.. i bought those licenses over and over again bit it keeps asking me to pay taxes

it allways goes fine a while and then i suddenly get a message to pay
first i thought it just happens after i took a break and start playing again
but i think the last time i had to buy the license twice..

its just annoying.. you try to get started and u waste all your money to pay some taxes i already lost all motivation because im still at the same point i was when i started..

some other questions:
there is a readtext item in the pirat stations, worth 1mio credits, whats that?
did you add any missions to the game or just sectors and ships?

some of the ships look rly nice but its somehow missing something
there is no action going on in the universe

Green Universe Tax - Universe is now very much interested in the business side of things, driven by ecology concerns.
Races have now put in place a tax to financially support the salvage of garbage in space. You might decide not to pay the tax while buying or selling products, but this could have some consequences…
- Every kind of product bought or sold has to pay a “green” tax. You can buy licenses in order to avoid to pay in the future
- Turn this tax system for your benefit and tax yourself pilots who are making business in your sectors
- Find a way to be forgiven by races if needed, but price could be high
- Many services are also now available, including a banking system: loans, deposits and withdrawals are now available by using a checking account
You can enable/disable the script in X3 AL Plugin Menu


The last bit highlighted in green could be your answer for now, by simply just deactivating it first of all.

If you have any traders, it could be when they are buying and selling, your getting the Green tax for their activaty.

I'll do some more research and see if I can find the source of your problem if none of the above work :)

thank you, but thats not the problem

i just have one ship, the one i had when i started
and for this particular ship i bought both licenses, for e-cells and balistic (for 300k and 180k credits) so i was tax free
but after a couple of hours i allways receive a new message charging me for picking up floating missile containers or using the jumpdrive
so i bought the licenses again..
this happend already 4 times i think
and thats almost worth 2million.. i could have bought my first unitrader with that money.. instead... :/

Can you uninstall the script and then reinstall?

That will narrow down what could be the problem and it out rule a "faulty install." :)

well i didnt install it myself, its part of the NH package

i would have to download the script to replace the old one, but i doubt there is much i can do wrong

We still haven't ruled out a faulty install.

Give it a go, shouldn't take longer than a few minutes and it may supprise you.

I went through the GUT scripts and from what I could gather the licenses that you buy apply ONLY to the race from which you buy. So if you buy the ballistic license from the Paranid it will only work in Paranid sectors. If you go to other races sectors and are picking up missile crates then you will be billed by the owning race of that sector.

Purchased Licenses I believe are recorded in:
'plugin.ben.cls.global.modifiedLicences'

If you really do not care about the economical realism of GUT just disable it or suffer the messages from the tax collector O0

i was thinking about something like that but since its not mentioned in any description connected to the script i didnt rly believe that its the solution..

anyway thx a lot, and well i swaped to xtm again :/
