As specified above, I cannot use or access the jumpdrive on the M1 - Goner Aran as it does not show up on the inventory and is not recognised.
Has anyone elso got that problem?

unless someone else runs into this :
please use the new installer, you have a leftover vanilla script which does not recognize inbuilt jumpdrives

well works perfectly for me though, what does your ship list under "Built-in Components" in it's info screen ?
when you sit in the Aran does "J" work to bring up the jumpscreen ?
please read and follow point #2 http://www.thexuniverse.com/threads/20439-Welcome-to-the-X-Tended-Terran-Conflict-Technical-Support-Forum

J brings up SETA. The jumpdrive is shown under "Build -in Components" but when I want to jump, a message tells me that the jumpdrive is not installed. No prblems with my other ships.

not [j], but capital J - the default hotkey for jumpdrive.. [Shift] + [j]

That brings up the jump screen
Ah, My advanced Jumpdrive and Hyperdrive from Cycrow don't work on the Aran as it doesn't recognise the jumpdrive. On the other ships it works no problem
Merged Doubleposts, please use the Editbutton next time :) K.

Since it brings up the jumpscreen, the item essentially works. If 'advanced jumpdrive' and 'hyperdrive' are not working, then it's really none of our concern; as they were neither developed by us nor are covered under the 'XTC' name. If the normal commands 'jump to sector' are not working, then there may be an issue - but again, we can't tell whether your 3rd party scripts have edited those beyond our control.
P.S. If you used Cycrow's Script Manager/Installer utility, then prepare to see a lot more issues with your game. Just a sidenote.

Thanks Eliah,
I no longer use ths Script Manager/Utility. It just seems strange that this issue is only an occurance with the Goner Aran. All other ships, no problem.

I have a Taipan. Went to Sector 404 and saw visually that there are a west and east gate. As it is no real option to fly to the gates with a Taipan I thought to P2P jump near the undiscovered gates so they are seen by the scanner.
I didnīt work. Voice was saying "No Aim". Tried the P2P jump by the control menue. P2P jump works fine in "completly" mapped sectors. Normal jumps work fine as well.
Sidenote: the old "jump and fly to position" trick to discover new gate does not seem to work any more.
XTC version 1.1. Saves from 1.0.

P2P Jumpdrive only works in sectors of races which are allowing this. You can't use P2P jump into hostile territory.

Is this visible somewhere? (pilot status etc?) or just trial and error?

It's reputation related, as far as i know. If you have a neutral or positive rep with the Paranids, you can hop around their sectors. If you have a good rep with Argons, you can hop around... but as a Split with negative rep to the Borons, like at the beginning of the gamestart ;) , you're not allowed to P2P jump into Boron sectors. That's something from the SE part of the team, so i'm not 100% sure about the explanation ;) As you can't have a positive rep with unknown sectors or Xenon sectors, you can't P2P jump there. You're still able to jump there normally.

Could you tell me, if i can use the P2P jump in my own sectors (via Trickmovs STO)?

Hm, tricky one. I can't answer this with being 100% sure about it. The player is away a race of his own. Technically, you should have a neutral/positive rep with your own race, at least your own ships aren't trying to destroy you ;) But afaik, there's no race setting given for player race vs player race. It should be possible, but you'd need to test that in order to verify this.
