  1. XTC Version 1.0 - Day 1

With the release of Xtended Terran Conflict at 07:30 GMT yesterday morning (20th December 2010), the XTC mod hit the wide world properly. With a few weeks of anticipation building up, including the release of the manual, and the magnificient trailer that Mishra put together, the buzz around TXU was noticeable... followed by the lull as hundreds of players began experiencing the X Universe... Xtended style.

The mod was released initially as a torrent download with the aim to prevent

I do various things in different areas for the X-Tended - Terran Conflict modification: Creating new textures and skins, sometimes modelling (though mostly not comparable to our other modellers! ), working on various other visual improvements, occasionally helping out in the Mission Director department but my biggest task was and still is creating the lore and setting for the

  5. XTC - The Beginning

Most of you will have been following the development of XTC since we first announced publicly that we were creating the mod. Waiting for the news posts, or reading the small teaser stories we released, you have slowly gained a few ideas about the mod and what you can hope to see in it.

But what happened before the first news announcement? How did it all start? Was it really a foregone conclusion that XTC would appear?

I shall answer the third question first. No, XTC almost
