X-Tended - Terran Conflict is a new modification for the game X3: Terran Conflict by Egosoft. (X-Tended - Terran Conflict is still under construction.)

X-Tended - Terran Conflict (XTC) goes beyond what the original X-Tended Mod (XTM) did for X3: Reunion. The X-Tended team decided to make this mod bigger, and take it further and deeper than ever before. Our initial release will be on par with the original XTM, but we are classing this as a 'base' release which we can then build and extend upon.

XTC has been built from the ground up with 'Large Mod' in mind, and thus will have many new systems built from scratch that are easy to extend upon in the future and also designed to integrate with each other as seamlessly as possible.

Although this mod is not yet released we have made many far reaching changes to the original game. As an example the weapon, missile, and shield systems have been rebuilt from the ground up, we haven't just added new ones but totally reorganised them all as well to allow for many more additions to their respective sections, while still leaving room to add even more in the future should we decide to.

We have re-built the entire universe map from the ground up to give players a new experience and to allow old X universe veterans a chance to have that great feeling of exploring the unknown again.

We have also added an in-game difficulty system that allows players to change how hard their game is using presets, but we have also added a custom menu so players may set every aspect of their game up to suit their style of play if one of the presets does not suit them.

These are just a few examples of some of the changes we are implementing. There are many more, and most of them are built in modules so if a player does not like a feature, they can just turn it off via a simple switch.

Please read the news articles below for more details on the systems mentioned briefly here, plus many more we have added - not to mention some nice eye-candy. (If you wish to read them in order, please work from the bottom up.)

    The X-Tended Team.
