A Terran Adventure (Part 4b) - Salvage

Upon returning to more familiar space I review the ships logs to discover what had happened to the ship in order to get it in the state it was in. It would appear that the lack of a Gravidar signature was the result of the chief engineer's attempts to improvise a cloaking device in order to hide themselves from the Xenon fleet that attacked them immediatly upon entry to the unknown sector of space. Unfortunatly, in doing so he had wrecked the Aran's ship production and research facilities rendering them unusable. However, he did manage to save the ship from destruction or capture by the Xenon fleet with 14% of the hull left intact.
Further examination of the logs, show that over the intervening time between their arrival and their eventual demise they proceded to cannabilise the remaining components associated with ship production and research in the hope of fashioning a new jump drive so that they could return home.
Unfortunatly, they ran out of food before they could complete their project and the best they could do was manufacture some e-cells in the hope that a fellow Goner would eventually find them, salvage the ship and return their bodies to Argon Prime for burial.
Upon reading this log, I send message drones to Elysium of Light and Argon Prime informing the respective authorities of the details. The Argon government was rather annoyed at this development, but the Goner High Council congratulated me on my successful operation and granted me full ownership rights to the Aran in exchange for the bodies and full logs being delivered to Elysium of Light along with any remaining parts of the ship production and research facilities.
Now, I am the proud owner of a gravidar masked ship. However, my engineers report that the gravidar masking technology is neither transferable nor identifyable. It seems that, the ship could be reverse engineered and rebuilt at a later date but the unique gravidar masking technology would not be reproducable.
Noting the damage to the Aran, I decide to restore the ship myself, but first I need to check on Mahi Ma and our project. Tired from the day's events, I elect to read the most recent status report rather than pay Mahi Ma a visit... I smile at the good news... 450k crystals remaining.0 Thanks, 0 Likes, 0 Dislikes
