Update to Elenaís Fortune

Personal log

Well, that was close call. This sector is not a bust I barely made it to the Cahoona Bakery in one piece. I went to see what that ship was and it turns out that it was a Pirate Kea, Falcon, Buster and 2 Harrier. I did about face and flew for my life and my ship took 6% damage to the hull. They are still out there flying about waiting for me. Question, I want to do this Why? Oh yea I want to be my own boss thatís it. Letís see what the lounge looks like here I think Iíll be here awhile.

Personal log

Not much of a lounge here. More like a store room that sells water down drinks and a smell of a leaking commode or is that just the meat steaks processing. I did find out that there is a Private Salvage Shipyard up northwest and that there are three Gates in this sector. The Locals talents say that there are a lot of pirates traveling between the north and south gates. I will have to check these two gates out. I also met Sayho Jenings who is a independent contractor. She had her Mercury shredded by some Pirates and is looking for some work and a backer. She has a good rep and seems to have knowledge of the trade routes. Iíll have to keep her in mind when I start my retail side or my business. Plus She not too hard on the eyes and I could use a friend out here in and case. Come to think of it I should start looking for good pilots and plant mangers. Time to leave, I just heard someone say that a pair of OTAS Reaper took care of my friends out side. You got to love the Reapers they do make me a profit in their wake.

Update to sector Gates

Like I thought they left me a present of a Harrier. I will send it to the scrap yard after I strip it out.. The north gate is more north east and goes to a pirate sector Farnham's Legend. I took a very quick look in there as there is a lot pirate Marauders reaping havoc in the trade lanes. I do not want any of that trouble yet. The south gate take you to Split Fire another Pirate sector, this is not a nice place either. As I enter the sector it looked ok I set Nav to center of sector then I notice that there are a few ships not moving. I start having that feeling I had in Presidentís End and start scanning and keep my eyes peeled. Some does not feel right in here. To my left I see a gate and some Pirates pop out of it and start coming my way. This is not going to be good if they catch up but,I have distant and a little speed on them. I will still look around a bit in here until they get closer. There are a couple of Demeter adrift and a Nova and Perseus. Why, are they not claimed? Thatís strange the Pirate are heading back towards the East gate? What this Khaíak are here itís defiantly time to leave. Thereís a Frigate two M6, two M3 and a M5. I defiantly will not be back here without Jumps loaded. Oh my they just striped that Vulture, it didnít have a chance. That Frigate is nasty.

Two days of working Elenaís Fortune sector is dangerous but, Profitable. I have found that the asteroid belt is where the Shipyard is and it has an Orbital Weapons Platform station protecting its southern route. I have been using this to my advantage. I have been baiting the pirates into a fight. They scan me and see that I only have 1 MW shielding and no weapons and figure on an easy kill. I then lead them to their demise as I fly by the OWP and the fire works start. This is about all I can do for now. I have claimed some ships from this tactic but, I still have collected the bailed ships and am tired of leaving my ship to do this. I have also had the OWP shoot some rounds off by me. I think they donít like the extra work that I am causing them. I will sort though the ships I have and sell off the worst off and get some upgrades that I defiantly need.

Ship Update

I have striped out and sold off ships I had at the Shipyard. I got enough to max out my speed, rudders, cargo, and Freight Scanner. I have also upgraded to three 5 mw shields. I now have three B IRE, and one A PAC from my spoils. Now I can start to take some more chances. I need the claim software, jumpdrive, transporter and docking extension next. My life expectance is looking a bit better now.

Personal log

It has pick up here in Elenaís Fortune. There has been a heavy push of Pirateís in the sector. They have been coming in groups of five to fifteen ships at a time. I think I got their attention because they keep tiring to hunt me down. With the help of the response fleet jumping in and cleaning up, I now have a few better ships that were busted up. I now have added three Blastclaws, two LX, Kea and Falcon Vanguard to my stock. I have been selling off all of the M4s and M5s. I now have enough credits to get the rest of the upgrades to my ship. My luck has held out so far and I need a better ship. I have been looking over what I have in stock. The Blastclaw looks to be my best condition at 55 % hull and easiest to equip. I have three 25 MW shields for it and some descent weapons on hand.
I have had to repair my ship a couple times so far, because of mass drive rounds ripping though my hull.
I think a nice break is in order until it settles down a bit in here. I will plan on traveling to Argon Prime Equipment dock for upgrades. I think Iíll go through the west Gate in Presidents end and come up thought Home light for the route.
