In the captain's chair of my Springblossom, I decide to start my search for the disgruntled Teladi in the rather isolated sector of Olmanketslat's Treaty.
Upon emerging from the South Gate I notice that the sector is bereft of any stations and activity, so I head through the North Gate to Bala Gi's Joy.
Arriving in Bala Gi's Joy, I discretely ask around the station bars about where I might find the Teladi my friend told me about. A couple of bar fights later, I am no closer to finding the Teladi except that one or two of the locals would like to find him too in order to claim their winnings from a card game.
Heading west to Farnham's Legend, I find no further information except a Teladi female who claimed that I owed her money (obviously a scam as I had never met her before). Deciding to leave this sector rather quickly, I set the Jump Drive to target the North Gate of Split Fire.
Upon arrival in Split Fire, I perform a quick scan of the stations and note an offer of information for credits from the Teladi I was told about.
After docking at the station posting the offer, I head to the station bar and order my self a double of Space Fuel while I wait for the Teladi to turn up.
Sometime later, the Teladi arrives... Noting that he nervously scanned the bar, I shake the bag of 15000 credit chips I had prepared for him. A nervous glance later, the Teladi placed a data card on the bar. Downing my drink, I leave the bag by my stool as I stand up, pick up the data card and walk towards the exit.
As I leave the bar, I chance a quick glance behind me and note the Teladi and the bag of credits were gone. Heading back to my ship, I instruct the computer to scan the data card for viruses as I perform the preflight checks.
After a completing the pre-flight checks, and receiving the all clear from the computer to use the data card I find a single voice message file. The message simply declared his Yaki ex-partner could be found in Weaver's Tempest, that he knows the location of a valuable ship, and wished me luck in getting the details from him.
Setting the Jump Drive to jump to Weaver's Tempest, I prepare myself for some less than cordial negotiations....0 Thanks, 0 Likes, 0 Dislikes
