Not an "In Character" Entry. Star Date...? Comments? Ideas? Collaboration?

Guess I need to get my "star date" thing rolling don't I? As you can see as I have evolved over the past few posts on how to run chronology. 1 thing was intentional... The first few days were journal and the Captains Log starts when the decision is made to use the ship for profit rather than just as a means to escape.

That should have been:

00.00.00.00.00:01

Now the all important question: How will I record the date? I was thinking somehting like the day the log begins is day 1 now...

Does the game keep time like that? I haven't looked or seen... Let me know.

yy.mm.ww.dd.hh:mm?

Would it run from departure as zero hour or time of day? Well that is a silly question really now isn't it? There is no day or night in space so it would make sense to just start a 24 hour clock and mark time off of that. and then there is the assumption made by the game that earth time conventions are standard.. A minute in the game is a minute and the ship travels in m/s... Sooooo. I guess I have answered my own question on that... 24 hour day with the ship clock on the log counting the time since taking the helm. In the case of my storyline it will be the counter from the moment that Krew made the decision to make this situation work for him.

This would make the last entry

00.00.00.04.10:30... ish

I welcome input on the story line... even collaboration... If there is something I post that opens a story line of your own then join in... Maybe we run into each other at a Solar plant while Victor is dropping off a shipment or "WHATEVER"...!!! It is up to us... If you want to join in and tell your part of the story it is a big universe... Lets run into each other...

Nice logic matey, it's especially hard to log time in a game like X3. We had a similar problem just tracking the changes of ships in the X games for the wiki. As they don't officially make 'versions' of ships, it's a pain to track
