Really good start Apollo....
This is probably one design that hasn't changed much from TOS..
Some RDM pics can be seen on meshweaver.

Great start Apollo.
What is going to be your poly limit?

Cheers. I'm aiming to be less than 30k. Hopefully in the 20s.

An update, and a wire too.
I will try to add the rest of the detail on the back of the shuttle using textures.

Thanks Elffin. It should be ok to texture, might take a while though because of all the small parts.

That looks great Apollo! Brings back memories from TOS. O0
How many polys is it?

Thanks Mishra. It's 22,000 at the moment, but I've not optimized it at all yet.
Really good, apollo. Keep it up! ;)

Impressive, great detail (keep in mind this is coming from a 30+ year freelance/cg artist).
Frankly, it looks better than a lot of "pro" work I've seen.

Not likely. I spent most of my time doing private commissions. It just worked out better for me than higher-profile, commercial jobs.
I let all that slide several years ago, but I'm considering going back to it. Or at least making content for the online cg marketplace.
I'm working on a couple of X3 things at the moment... for render purposes. I'll post them in the CG thread when I get them done.
