[X1 mod site] (http://www.mod.x1tp.com)
I'm here to show off my 3 month project, the x1 website.
The main website: www.x1tp.com (http://www.x1tp.com), that i'm paying for is not to do with the mod so to avoid advertising the stuff i shouldn't i'm focusing on the x1 site: www.mod.x1tp.com (http://www.mod.x1tp.com).
People who have nothing to do with making website probably won't understand me much so it is better just to visit the site without reading this rubbish.
The site has been completly remade with a clean template, like the new xtended docklands template. On my previous attempts at the website I used the old html way, which looked pretty poor and was hard o add to, but now i'm using a CMS (Content management sytem). Which allows me to create a template once and all my pages use it. This allows people who don't understand websites to add to the content. At the moment both =DC=Shadow and MarcusX3 have registered and i have given them the option to write stuff for the website as easy as writing here.
But thats just about what the mod website is made from, now this bit below is for you lot:
I've tried my best to keep the site interesting and informative by using several fatures such as:
The shout box - if you need help or just want to say hello this is the tool for you.
There is an 'Uploads and Downloads' feature which allows registered users upload there 'x game' related files and mods and everyone (included non-registered users) to download.
There is also a section called 'Ship Downloads' - the ships available for download in this section are built by the x1 team and the ships are not included in the x1 mods.
Other than all that we are building (slowly) information sections for the mod, the sectiions include:
Team Members - Information and history about the individual team members
Music database - database of music created by the talented composer Anon Loyalist, the tracks in the database are or will be included in the x1 mod
Ship database - We are trying to put together a database of ships in our mod.
Equipement database - This section may not survive over time as we might decide it is too much hassel.
Concetp models - These are models which may or may not be in the mod.
