Making scripts and mods widely available to non-English users is an important and time consuming task.

TXU is endeavoring to make this simpler by creating TXU Translation Teams that work on whatever projects are needed by TXU Users to enable the multi-lingual spread of Scripts and Mods.

If you feel you have the time and the know how to help with any language that you speak, please post in this topic and we'll contact you with details on how you can help.

Well you say there is no need for translators to German anymore, but i started to read the installation instructions on German and there are lots of misspells. So I would like to join the team for helping out a bit with correct spelling :) for example "Racketen" instead of correct "Raketen"

It's not primarly about working fast. It's about translating correctly. We had recently some problems with this.
Do you have previous experiences in translating or working with xml-files? (It's not necessary but very useful) :)

Hi people. Sorry but my english is very bad. I have some trouble with Language Pack (Multiple language update for German, Russian and Itallian languages.) but when i instal it he just instal Italian - NO Russian and NO German. Please give me download link only Russian Language Pack.

Its good to see people helping each other.

I also have an idea - mind I mentioned its an idea so please don't chop my head off... lol

With all these translators every where, and at times languages gets mispelled all the time.
BECAUSE WE ARE HUMAN......

I believe there should be a section for Proof Reader.
and it would be their responsibilities for them to make sure that the languages are correctly translated and also
correctly spoken and spelled.

Thats just an idea.
I have read some place ( I cant remember at the time)
The section in the game was translated in Spanish and it was all misspelled
and improper grammar also at times there was curse swaring words that was never checked.

When we say spanish you have to be VERY CAREFULL
because Spanish languages are divided into many cultures such as,
Mexican, Puerto Rican, Brazilian, Ecuadorian, Dominican, Peruvian and many others .

and in one culture a word might mean something, and in another it could mean
a curse word or something bad.
So just be careful on how things are being met as it can reek havoc when least expected.

New Horizons Mod is looking for translators, and also foreign language NH Mod topic leaders in local Egosoft Forums and TXU NH Mod Forum dedicated threads.



NH Mod (http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9713) is now available in English and French and has been downloaded 715 times as of yesterday.

I have already been contacted by Deady to translate it in Polish, and there might be a Czec translation on the way.

I wonder if some other people would like to give a hand to this project and give access to players to NH Mod in other languages such as:

Dutch
