With 9 episodes left to film Battlestar has ceased production due to the screenwriters strike.

Moore -
“I refuse to believe that we won’t finish, that we won’t be back to film our final stories, but I know and accept there is that possibility.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Euhm, it's a screenwriter strike in nearly all the production houses overthere, I think it's about higher wage and a better honoraries for the work when they get played elsewhere.

So I guess, when everything is resolved it should go back to normal? I hope :)

Anyway, I can't really blame the screenwriters

Yeah, a lot of shows are affected. But this being the last season of Battlestar, the cast and other involved might already have projects lined up for after BSG. So if this drags on long enough, longer than filming was expected to take, then the cast might be contracted to start work on something else, and thus not be able to film BSG if it ever gets written.

Guys, i hope you know that this strike is for the WHOLE Scriptwriters of America, and they are the scriptwriters for every single show on television, so not just BSG will be affected, but so will motion picture, and regular shows like whats left of Law and Order 2007. Dont worry guys, they will work something out, they always have. Besides, America isn't going to take this **** for long, America wants new shows so somebody is going to be pressured into a compromise. This kind of thing happens every once in a while. And the cast cant do ****, because if there are no screenwriters for the shows they might be slated to do after BSG, then they are still in a pickle. And somebody will give because of the strikes, hopefully if they do any other shows after BSG the manager for the show might be nice enough to let Moore complete BSG.

AAAH!!! I dont want this to be a repeat of that RETARDED 1980 Galactica, but there were other reasons it was cancelled first it was absolutely retarded, they had to use "educational" terms in it, so it bit the dust, and from what few clips i saw of it, it SUCKED BALLS BAAAAAD!

From what I've read the cast and crew are not getting paid either during the strike period. It seems that sci-fi might get their wish .... to split season 4 into two segments. One for 2008 and the other half for 2009..

Dont worry, it will be settled probably by January. It usually only lasts for a month or two.

I wish the writers all the best. They do a great job and i hope they will get more money.

At all they should continue very soon to see the 4th season.

Well it's scheduled to start airing in March. Think that's US though.
