Within the User Control Pane, also called the UserCP for short, there are settings that control the way you are subscribed to mailing lists. Within the UserCP you will find the settings for vBMail.

When you access this page you are presented with the following option:

The option Default Keyword Subscription is used to control how you are subscribed to new ‘keywords’ (more on these later) and whether you will automatically start receiving emails that are linked to those keywords. Check or uncheck this setting to be added automatically or not.
