Mamba - The Split contribution towards the M3 class, the Mamba, follows all of the traits one expects to find in a ship forged by the Split Dynasty. This craft, and most notably its Raider variant, are an embodiment of the philosophy that the best shield is to be gone when a shot reaches you. This has proved to be true the universe over, where Mamba pilots defeat their slower brethren with devastating ferocity. The Mamba's Raider variant is notable for being the only variant of this ship able to mount a turret. A long serving and deadly fighter developed by the Split Military. It has been only in recent jazuras that this ship has been made public.
The current Split Patriarch has a small fleet of these ships that act as escort ships that accompany the primary destroyer of the fleet. In the hands of an experienced pilot, this ship can survive the darkest of battles, because of the ships high speed he can avoid most of laserbeams and missiles.
