The
Zepar is a powerful
MM6 used by the secretive race called the
Sohnen. It is rumoured to cruise their home sector. Little else is known about the ship, or the race.
The Zepar's origin is as mysterious as its designers. Only known to a handful of individuals in the universe, the Sohnen are such reclusive creatures that almost nothing can be said about its creation.
Lore from an unknown source
There have been several sightings of corvette-sized ships of unknown configurations, any number of which could be this one. There is also the chance, though, that pilots may have confused ordinary corvettes with unknown ones; they may have been tricked by background lighting, odd ship customizations or something similar. Such is the case of most UFO sightings in the 'verse, and it was believed that a sighting one
Boron explorer reported was such also. Studies of the camera images he collected, however, indicated that he had in fact run into a new ship type.
The Zepar is well armed, well shielded and has the most powerful generator of any ship in its class. The powerful shielding compensates for the lack of speed, and enables the ship to stay in close combat for as long as needed.

The Zepar can be armed with standard corvette weaponry such as the
high energy plasma thrower, as well as the long-range
photon pulse cannon. It also has a quadruple rear turret, able to fit
flak weapons. This along with the powerful laser generator makes it a threat for ships of greater size.
