Faunus ? I never thought aboutthis ship
In my PHQ i have quite few of Kha'ak weapons. It's sounds good.
You just need one sample of Alpha and Beta Kyon. (Kha'ak Cap ships drop lot's of Gamma Kyon Emitters) in Kha'ak space. Use Faunus to manufacture Alpha & Beta Kyon. They are produced rather quickly in Faunus.

Faunus is a mobile weapons forge. That will use Ore/Energy Cell and Food (any from various race variety will do) to manufacture/replicate weapons/shields/missiles. It does need one unit of the required item to be present on-board though. You will like it a lot and find it useful if you have a self sufficient complex producing all required items (Ore/EC/Food)...

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you all to my latest cap: the Pirate Galleon.
I can now confirm that capping the Galleon is possible. I have just done it.
Here's how it went down. I ran into it along with a Carrack somewhere in the "ring of fire"... I think it was Depth of Vengeance, but I'm not sure. Well, I was in a Mantis, just travelling through. I promptly killed the Carrack, and just as I was about to turn to face the Galleon, I saw that my rear turret had already decimated its shields. I then got the message that usually screws everything up; the "Sir, it looks like the Galleon is jumping for the nearest Teladi shipyard. In its state, we could capture that." message. Seconds later, it disappeared, and since I knew (riiight..) that it couldn't be capped anyway, I didn't bother to follow it. Hours later (real time), I was travelling along someplace else when I came across a red symbol on a sector map. I had a closer look, and it turned out the Galleon was sitting by the west gate in Ianamus Zura. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity, and called in my HCF. I chipped away at the Galleon's shields first with my Castrum's GPPCs and then a couple of Hammerheads from afar, and then I switched to the HCF. I used the tactic I had used so successfully against the Kha'ak Frigates; staying outside of its firing range as much as I could, while getting the shields down and start boarding.
I sent over 700 marines. Then I realized that would probably not be enough, so I called in the Castrum to jump up in front of me (I love p2p-JD...) and got reinforcements in the shape of 600 Split mercenaries. I sent them over as well, and the results were...

Survivors: 315 marines, 104 mercenaries.
Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to refer to myself as the capping king for the next couple of days.
Very nice job indeed.
I do have a question for you. Where did you find Castrum
Dont tell me about cheating. And how someone uses the PtP jump?
spoiler: OTAS Headquarter located in spoiler: Akeela's Beacon. They can be bought normally after 0.7.4.

Maz is right. I bought the Castrum fair and square. It'll set you back about 300 million. And you should add another 100 mill in guns and equipment to that. But it's worth it. It's incredibly powerful, but not invincible, so you don't spoil the gaming experience. Still, you can clean out Xenon sectors in it, with a bit of skill. It's OTAS built, so the self-repair is installed if you ever get hurt. It's got hangars so you can bring transports to collect stuff for you, and a couple of powerful fighters to do the mopping-up of small enemies you can't bother chasing.
The point-to-point jumpdrive is used in the navigation menu. Just click navigation and scroll down to the bottom. There should be an option saying "point to point jump". Click that, select the sector you want to jump to as usual, and then choose the position with your cursors.
maz9009:
I know where the Otas HQ is. Since the ver 0.7.3 all my UT were Otas origin.
Just the Castrum isn't there. Maybe, this is happening because i haven't finished the Scarab mission. And i am afraid, will never be finished.
Kalah:
I am sorry, i haven't made my self clear. The option is there but in grayish color (cannot be selected). How can be activated?
You need to install Jumpdrive and maybe Nav Command SW MKI. And you should also have some E-Cells in cargo bay. After that the option becomes selectable. With absence of Jumpdrive it will remain greyed out.
And you should update your XTM to v0.7.5. Lots of features and improvements over XTM 0.7.3.

Correct; the option will become available when you have the equipment you need. When I first bought my Castrum, I took it straight to Light of Heart and equipped it, and then I moved to the Goner temple in Cloud Base South West, stopping by the various equipment docks in Lucky Planet and Trinity Sanctum on the way. I also bought two Scarabs for it, as "running-and-fetching" ships for the mothership.
You mean Sinuators? They're good, but have you considered the Terran Baldur? It's cheaper, faster, and has better armament (although slightly less shielding).
Why not? Need help with it? We can assist you, I'm sure...
Now, back to the Galleon topic: I've noticed they keep popping up. I ran into one in Emperor's Wisdom. That is... it started attacking things and I got an alert message, so I had to send my Castrum there to kill it off. The Galleon keeps mingling with the same crowd; a Carrack and some M3 fighters. I'm beginning to wonder if it's like the romaing Reavers, which kept coming and causing havoc wherever they went. I'll report back if I see more Galleons...
