      Have to agree with D!S7RUG@7OR

      Its a great clip, but in the scenes where there are lots and lots off ships they are pretty much all the same limited types of ships flying in exactly the same formation, in straight lines, at the same angle and same speed.

      The fight scenes are then very nicely woven in to make it look like a bigger battle.

      There are some cool scenes where again the same models of ships flying in the same general direction are shooting at each other, the Q's at 1:38 for example.

      The other fleet battles are nothing bigger than you get when a couple of enemy cap-ships turn up in a sector that has a race cap-ship in it.

      Still very very cool though.

      you can combine conflicts mod, race patrols, marine repair mod ( not needed..but it helps aton),and the combat mod makes everything feel more space combatish :P

      conflict mod breaks the storyline due to ships having problems skipping godmoded stations / ships :P

      you can set how many "conflict" ships are in play and adjust the force size with a modifier input pretty easily too, you can also claim sectors for yourself, but too many "player" sectors and the conflict AI will see YOU as a threat and decide to attack.(also..if you have the HUB..make sure you put ALOT of forces in there..or else someone else will claim it XD.)

      the notoriety setup is pretty easy as well, you can adjust who is allied with who and who is at war with who, or you can just let the diplomacy AI handle that .

      Is the Conflicts mod stable? I've heard that at one point it wasn't. Just wondering if that has been fixed.

      If you dont want to brake the storyline you can try LVs "Race Response Fleets (with Race Wars)" with race invasions enabled.

      ive had ALOT of issues with that mod :/
      it really really dims down the combat to a "ok..soooooooooo....wheres the fighting portion of this game?"kinda level

      that and whenever a response fleet goes into a sector your in..itll crash the game :\

      Thank you all for your suggestions.

      I few hours ago i gave the Improved Races mod a shot and it seems to be filling the combat-less gap quite well, (I lost 5 freighters in 1 hour... ) and seems to be considerably more stable than the mods/scripts listed above. (with the exception of the Combat mod, which is AWESOME!!!)

      that used to be a kha'ak only mod
      it was pretty ok,..untill you actually -saw- an invasion force then it was like "eek im so gonna die now" ofcourse i did have it on the "hard" difficulty so kha'ak were just pouring out of the gates and taking every sector that -didnt- have a race patrol ship or one of my battlefleets stationed there.

      glad to see it spread out to the other races now

      -somewhat offtopic-
      if youre using one of the difficulty modes for CMOD, i dont think theyre working properly. i havent seen huge battleballs of pirates / yaki / xenon roll through yet like ive seen in pre 2.0 :/

      Ok, that mod is not completed yet. I test it since v1.6 because i translate it into german (i had lot of fun with the old RRF in Reunion).
