i dont consider that a good thing.
obviously at low levels 10mil is too much of a lump sum but at higher levels compared to the cost of the ships and equipment involved its nothing.
I'm waiting patiently.

Hmmm, I don't agree:
Price of an M2: 60 - 100 million. Outfitting an M2 5 - 10 million. Overall price 65 - 110 million.
Being able to buy and fully equip an m2 in 10 or so assassination missions is far too unbalanced and ends up with you having the ability to kick the arse of anything that comes your way within a very short amount of time. I believe that it takes away from the satisfaction that comes with buying a battleship, and It also makes it so easy to replace them that they become a frivolous thing, and you end up saying "meh, I only lost 100 million worth of credits, I can replace that easily". Which is stupid imo.
I believe that when you buy and equip a m2, you should want to protect your multi-million dollar investment, that buying it should have an impact and that you can't just replace it if it goes boom. It should take a while to replace one and not just be an on a whim thing that TC turned it into. Being able to buy a battleship that can own anything and everything should not be something that you can get just a few hours into the game, It should Take time and effort to get one.
I remember when I first played Reunion, the satisfaction I got from buying and equipping my first m2. That battleship was a investment that was worth it, not something that I could buy 10 of in quick succession like I was buying m5's.

I agree with Scorch.
Back in Reunion, when i had bought my very first capital ship: the Shark, i remember how excited i was. I had saved up for it and when i finally was able to buy it i was like: Whoa, i just got a battleship. It took me nearly 2 months to do that. In TC, the first M1/M2 i got was the Shark as well, however it took me a whopping 8 daysWhen i bought it, i was like: Well, i have -too- much money. I might as well spend it on something...
That was back in the early TC days as well, when money was even easier to get...
EDIT: Now, i accept less missions, and much less combat ones. Thus i bring in my monel via logistics and that is a lot more fairer.
I just remember how nervous I was the first time playing a DID style game, the first time my m2, controlled by the ai, went up against another cap ship. I was likeI was so worried I was going to lose it and I would have to spend another 2 weeks to get another one.

outfitting a ray with shields and a weapon for every slot (no reserves or alternatives) costs about 40,000,000

Your point?
What I was pointing out was that it shouldn't be so easy to get 100's of millions of dollars so easily, so the extra price on top of the ray for outfitting it means that it takes longer to outfit it, which is a good thing imo.

Dalin80's point is not that he wants to keep tha TC payment. He points out, that there is also a lmitation of payment to the bottom of the earned chashThe goal of the mod is to challenge the player, not to take the fun out of the game
Like many more things, this is part of the balance, and we take care of this balance

I'm Sorry Galder, I should have been more clear, I wasn't trying to argue with Dalin80, and I'm not disputing his point, in fact I believe I was trying to support it. I realize that there is also a lower limit on how much the player should be rewarded with and that hitting it would probably make the game alot less fun than it is at the moment.
As you said, its all about balance. And I believe that that balance was maintained pretty well in X3R, but in TC it went a bit too far with the rewards. I really hope that XTC brings that balance that was in Reunion back into the game. Which it probably will knowing you guys.
