      Post Some questions, all together

As you probably know, EGOSOFT is collecting data for the X series.
I was hoping this could lead some of those who worked on XTM to put their hands on once again to release a final version, something like a "1.0"...

Since I'm here, and I believe it's useless opening a new topic, I'd like to ask you if XTM may cause decrease of AL ingame.
Some players are reporting no AI ships in the whole universe. I'm experiencing too some decrease in AI presence. When I was playing (almost "long ago" now!) there were some sectors full of pirates, where you needed a fleet to open your way, but now the biggest pirate patrol was a Carrack and some fighters as escort, nothing a couple of Hammerhead couldn't handle.

I'd like to help ya' if possible, I've asked for some support in creating/modding ships but so far none answered (no, I'm not in a hurry). When I get some EXP I can help you more...

What i can say is that at the moment all our efforts are fully concentrated on the development of XTC, a totally new project that shares very little with XTM.

So at least until XTC will be released, there is no way we open the old XTM drawers.

After that time everything is possible, but for now it's even pointless to discuss on it in the Team.

I only know there is an odd bug that sometimes causes what you described, i.e. minimal or non existent presence of AI ships. Unfortunately that bug is still unsolved and the only possible workaround is to start a new game. Sorry for not having any better solution

As far as I can remember, that bug is caused by some of the job files failing to start up when you begin a new game, the lack of AI life mid-game would be something else, possibly an invasion of sorts destroying most of a sector's contents. There are pirates, Kha'ak, Sohnen and Terrans all wreaking havoc and destroying ships and stations, and if that happens, it takes a while for traffic to build back up again.

If traffic is low, try scripting in some new ships by use of LV's cheats. Set owner of the ships to the race owning the sector you're in, and only script in many ships at a time in sectors you're inside at the moment.

I was thinking that using some scripts could be a workaround for the problem.
About hostile forces invasions I've seen a Kha'ak force spawning in Nopileos Memorial, and the two Carriers are still wandering there (at least they're not in the middle of the sector).
Another invasion destroyed almost everything in Ore Belt, but the enemy fleet didn't move much further than the sector where it was (actually, the pirate base in north zone was left untouched).

About using LV cheats, it's ok creating ships if they are not present in sectors, but would be possible to create a script which spawns about, let's say, 40 TS/TP for each race, widespreading these ships in all race sectors: i.e. 5 TS in Argon prime, 5 in Red Light, 5 in Omicron lyrae, 5 in Wastelands and so on; same for all other races.
LV cheat "create ship" allows to create a new ship and defines also the number of the ships which will be spawned at the same time, but they are all placed in the same sector and all close to each other. The new script should, on the contrary widespread these ships and if possible, load them with some goods as well.
      Would be possible?

Never heard of a script for doing that.
You could have a look around the site and see.
In the mean time, just spawn them yourself in the sectors you want them in.
      Problem solved.

FWIK no script like that has ever existed. I was wondering if it could be created.

Yes, but the ships will disperse if you are in the sector. Therefore do this only with sectors you are currently travelling through.

use the clone ship cheat from LV you dont need to be in the same sector.open the cheat menu switch target to the ship you want to clone choose how many you want and the race they will belong to.
