As far as I remember the Yaki don't play any role in any plot![]()
Do they play any particular role later in the game? I ask this because their sectors are a constant stopper for my UTs - they wander in there and then sit on standby for ever. I jump them out (and even dump their cargo) but, soon enough, they're back in there again. I've now got the System Takeover script, so I was wondering if it's feasible to simply eradicate the Yaki.
Or am I being simplistic?
(Sorry - forgot. I'm playing X3R+XTM)

You can take over their sectors because if you do a side mission which involves them, the game spawns them. You don't have to rely on already existing vessels.![]()

Thanks for all the info, guys.
I haven't actually worked out yet how to do a sector takeover, so I thought I'd have a go at simply massacring the Yaki - but they flatly refuse to get mad (well, one or two ships go red, but that's about it). I stop shooting, and they all go back to behaving as if nothing had happened. And there's no way I can see of declaring the Yaki as a foe.
Not quite so easy as I thought, then - but I'll persevere.
Oh, don't worry. Once you really wage war against them they WILL turn red.
You will notice that the Yaki Sennins are really worth shooting at. They are good money makers.![]()
