What was your greatest moment of stupidity in XTC 1.2a?

Taking my OTAS Reaper (M6) up against a de-coupled Kha'ak Vanguard cluster...even with military shields, I only lasted seconds.
They literally turn my screen white with Kyon beams.

Got a new one last night.
I bumped my Tiger into a Pirate Shrike which then launch a heavy missile into me...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Even if i've played for a few hours XTC, that didnt saved me of being embarassed in my destroyer (Argon Titan) by a couple of paranid fighters..
The imaginary discussion bellow it's happening into a dimension unknown by most of humans:

*brain: damn, i'm not comfy in this fighter ship*

*me: yeah, me too..*

*brain: how about i cheat a new shinny destroyer for ya? one you're used with...hmmm...Argon Titan!*

*me: whoooaaaa!!! that will do!*

*brain: nice to be of asistance.. time for action now!*

*brain: hmmm, we hate the paranids dont we? how about we go get that Zeus that it's protected by those fighter ships! he must be scared by our mighty PPCs!*

*Betty: jump device charging in 10%....*

A few 6534726 minutes later (dont blame me, my pc it's doing what he can)

*Betty: entering sector....*

*me & brain: let's roll!!!*

Meanwhile the Zeus's captain notices my hostile intentions and orders a Nemesis that was closer to intercept me. My front turrets open fire and easily destroys the m6.

*me & brain: we are invincible!!!! no one can stop us!!!! "evil laugh"*

In my moment of awesomeness i didnt noticed that i'm swarmed by angry paranid fighters lustful for revenge of their space dust comrade.

*me & brain: come at me!*

After a few moments of chaos and crazy lag...

*Betty: shields critical!*

*brain: ooooopps!*

*me: wha?*

GAME OVER

And that's the stupid thought of being able to destroy fighter ships with your M2 equiped only with PPCs.. The most embarassing and proper way for a cheater to die!

Sure thing, i know what weaponry to use while in combat with several class of ships, thats why my moment of stupidity.. The truth is that X3-TC and XTC comes with different weaponry, most of them of course known already, but with some that they are totally unknown to me..
And that Titan was cheated, not earned with sweat and blood and i think that i deserved it..

Ok, I see no one has fessed up to moment they learned that the item in the space suit's right hand is NOT a repair laser.
Within the first hour of play, I got my Elite shot full of holes.
So like everyone else who played X3:R and X3:TC, I hopped out of my ship.
Took carefull aim and fired.
I don't remember the repair laser firing like that...maybe it was modded for XTC.
The next thing I know is my fighter is gone and I'm floating in space trying to figure out why.

My real moment of stupidity happened after I restarted...and did the same stupid thing before I realized it was not a repair laser.

Well I for one can truthfully say that never happened to me in , simply 'cause I RFTM, with a twist.. (I also had insider knowledge about the changes, before playing.... {I love my role here on the forum.. I get to find out such interesting things going on in various mods... } I also started out as a minor member of the mod team until my ongoing health issues forced me out a week or so into the start of the mod)

Hmm, as for my greatest moment of stupidity in ? not playing TC/ like I used to anymore... (currently playing skyrim)

You can change the difficulty setting to easy to get the repair laser(but you have to be in a ship for the change to take place, being outside it won`t work) or you can download the file that replaces the ray emiter with the repair laser from the download section. Fly safe

Same here all summer, I was so stupid back in the begining of June thinking in a week I will be playing again. By July thinking just another day or or two, Then by mid July thinking any day now. Now I am wondering what happen to June, Wheres July and its August already! So as RL goes......never count on a full summer playing 80+hrs a week. BBBBbbllaaaaaH!
