      Default Building of a station complex - where and what?

      Hello,

      I wanted to build station complex. With building a complex you will get some questions which have to solve - where and what? I'm prefering the fast money which I can get in one hour. At first I thought about what I want to produce and what could be needed. Bio and food of every race is a nice alternative. I made a list without Boron stations (I'm still hostile with them), added everything to make the complex independent from external ressources. That's only a coarse plan.
      The next question is a bit trickier. Where should I place the complex? Probably Aldrin (enough space) or Armstrong (sunlight 800% - but Yaki (killing normal pirates rises Yaki reputation??)). Have a look at the link and tell me your impressions also your opinions.

      Food complex

      The targeted site was made for X3: Terran Conflict to "manage" future complexes.

      The Corporate HQ's in Aldrin space accept any lasers/sheilds/missiles you can make

      So you could always build a laser/missile complex and use manual trade runs to sell off the results for a very tidy profit.

      So a general suggestion to build complexes were the Aldrin sectors?

      Simply check out what is needed and always empty. Things like Nostrop Oil in Split space for example. So you get a Teladi Sun Oil Refinery XL and a Teladi Flower Farm XL and build a complex with it in the middle of the Split sectors area. If you produce lasers/sheilds/missiles you can make some profit too but that wont activate the economy as things like Nostrop Oil in Split space.

      Someone correct me if im wrong but i do not think that Online Complex Calculator works with XTC stations. I believe some stations might have changed production rates or something ...

      OCC might even work for some products, but probably by pure coincidence... a lot of things are changed in production cycles so i doubt you can have sensate readings out of a tool that was based on different settings

      only the end-products like laser, missiles and shields, ammo. Not the ressources they use / the rate at which they are used. M factory= 2x S , L factory= 5x S, XL factory= 10x S
      So instead of 2 L you could buy 1x XL and save some performance on your computer.
      Your food complex should work 1:1 like you set it there, only difference might be the initial price for the stations/ breakeven.

      Probably worth adding it to this thread which lists/tests scripts for compatibility - it's likely to be overlooked here.

      Try and build stations that will always be of use to you. Microchips, crystals, teladianium, the things usualy involved in ship manufacture, and weapons and shields. Once you get to the point where you don't need money anymore you can change to turning out an armada.
