      Post your brainwaves for new ships into the X universe here.

      Notes:

      • Keep specs reasonable!
      • Try to focus on loopholes in the order of battle for Races excisting fleets
      • Keep focus on balance
      • Description of dimensions and/or reference material would be nice
      • More details would be even better

      Goner Spacedock:

      -Mediumsized capital ship capable of docking up to 12 M6/TS class ships at once.
      -Cargo fairly large.
      -Jump capable.
      -No armaments, shielding rather low
      -Speed TL level.
      -Rep : M6 level
      -Price : around TL level.

      Can be used by player to simplify mass-purchases of TS/M6 vessels and jump them around to equip
      or have them equipped when docked to the ship.

      Oh btw, this remind me..we also need a Goner SY to sell Goner ships

      insane ideas that whould need a lot of time to be implemented

      i was thinking to various thing, have all the m8 carrier classified to \"m1\" (classifing the split and argon m8 as m1 and creating new ships for this class of those races), creating m0, and mid ships between m0 and m2 i sayd that i had some insane ideas ;d, and if you continue to read...

      Tender:
      classification: M1 (maybe M1T? i was thingin to have dorne carriers as M1D and standard carrier as just M1)
      all stats like an m7, with low-power weaponry (flaks, ire and pac), and about 20 fighters/bombers
      roles: light carrier, fast escort ship, light bomber carrier/supply ship

      Light Cruiser
      class: M2
      stats: slighty powerfuler and shielded than a standard M2 \"destroyer\" (maybe just 2 more shield more than an M2)
      role: mid attack cruiser, the backbone of an attack fleet, multirole vessel

      Heavy cruiser/Battlecruiser
      class: M2
      stats: 2 more shield than a light cruiser, maybe 11-12, mainly anti-capital weaponry
      role: heavy assault ship, field command ship

      Dreadnought:
      class: M0
      stats: 20 GJ shield, ultraheavy armour, weaponry like a battlecruiser, can repair/dock 2-3 m6 and fighters (no bombers)
      role: tank (sorry, i can think only to this \"rpg\" word ;D), field command ship, support ship

      Battleship:
      class: the true M0
      stats: 20 GJ shield, less armoured that the dreadnought, less armour, slower, but with a better weaponry and agility
      role: primary attack ship, command ship, flagship?

      Assault corvette:
      class: M6
      stats: big cargo, 2 more shield than a military m6, can mount only ire and cap, haster than a standard m6 but same speed
      role: transport for marines headed to board an enemy ship

      Assault ship:
      class: M8
      stats: like an m7 frigate, only frontal anti-capital weaponry, and light self defence weaponry on the other sides of the ship
      role: tactical command center for boarding parties

      for those \"subclasses\" of m1, m2, etc we could use the x2 ships, maybe retextured and with a bit more details, without create new ships from scratch

      other ideas

      my idea of \"Bomber\" (think at the mover of hw2)
      class: M3
      stats: like an M3, but without a rear turret, slightly slower, less shielded, but not much agile and with good energy generator, not to good to not unbalance em, cause those could be able to mount alfa ppc to attack enemy cap ships (and maybe the heavyer plasma cannons, but not less, this ship would be powerful but very specialized, not versatile, and with many drawbacks)
      role: heavy cap ship attack fighter

      Sentry: (i was thinking to hw:cataclism drones, the one that could create a forcefield around a ship, obviously without the forcefield if isn\'t possible ;D)
      class: M4
      stats: like an M4, with less cargo, shielding but more agile, quick and smaller, allowing a ship to carry more of these
      role: escort/defender fighter

      Repair Ship:
      class: TL
      stats: big as an M2 (a bit more maybe), with docking capabilities for those ship, normal shielding, quite good armour (but not so good as one can think, to simulate all the equipement for other ship assistance and repair), limited self defence weaponry, can have 1-2 m6 and some m3-4-5 for self defence (but those numbers should remain very low)
      role: repair ship, with self repair capabilities

      Interdictor:
      class: M7
      stats: like another m7, maybe a less armed and shielded M2 \"destroyer\"
      role: think at the star warsy interdictor, something similar that inibith jumpdrive and normal sublight movement for a brief period of time (maybe with a scripted command, some sort of ew warfare, see below)
      i know that once there was something similar, it would be nice to see if that project could be developed further

      Covert Ops:
      class: M6 (maybe two different ship, a M6 or aM7 and a M2 as \"command covert ops ship\")
      stats: like another M6, but with less weaponry, shielding and faster (and a cloaking device, there are scripts that make this possible... )
      role: advanced scoutship

      Recon:
      class: M7
      stats: fast like an m6, lightly armed, with docking for m5, a light ship with minimal shielding (for an M7), with advanced sensor array and light ew capabilities, a versatile ship
      role: scoutship&patrol, anti-enemy scouts, search&rescue missions (with an rpg mind... ;D)

      class: M6-7-2
      stats: various, depending on ship size and role (ecm (enemy targeting system jamming or comm/signal dispersion), enemy \"painting\", eccm, and so on, think at \"EVE:ONLINE\" if you ever played it)
      role: ew warfare (this would be my dream, if is possible to implement it in the game, keeping it of simple use)
