      Self-Limitations:
      --No modding, no modelling, no galaxy-editing, only scripting
      --Must be fully Xtended-compatible

      Mechanics:
      --A script causing races to treat the player differently depending on the race of their ship. (Now possible with my getshiprace library).
      --Occasional vigilante attacks by trigger-happy Split on a player in a Boron ship and vice-versa, Over-zealous police ships possibly attacking the player when in a Pirate ship, War-Veterans of all races (but particularly Argon) occasionally attacking the player when in a Xenon ship, etc

      Concept:
      --To make the ships from different races and the usage thereof by the player, more interesting and varied, instead of differences being purely aesthetic and statistical.

      Potential pitfalls:
      --Player getting frustrated by constant unprovoked attacks - Rate of occurrence needs to be very well-balanced.

      [AL Plugin]

      Mechanics:
      --Possibly script the Xenon to build functional stations in sectors surrounding their sectors, with assault-escorts, thus causing more strife in the sectors surrounding the Xenon.
      --Possibly script the Xenon into trying to take over Unknown sectors nearest to Xenon sectors

      Concept:
      --To make the Xenon a more interesting race, no longer just cannon-fodder.

      Potential pitfalls:
      --Xenon stations would not trade with other races by defalt.
      --GOD might not work well with the Xenon building stations.
      --Players may not enjoy having their personal bases in Unknown Sectors being assaulted by Xenon squadrons. (Make Xenon US-Migration optional, perhaps)

      Several questions:

      For Race grudges, will player rep affect it? Ex. I am flying an Argon nova through Split space, and I hold the rank Privileged Associate of Ronkar, will that make the attacks less frequent? Second question, when they attack you, will your rep go down if you defend yourself?

      More questions for the Xenon Project:

      How large are the strikes? Ex. 2 K\'s, 1 J, 4 corvettes and 30 fighters; or just a patrol? Will they take over a surrounding (race) sector if they can?

      Also, I like the idea that some unknown sectors should come with something of a price. But other people may not, so making that feature optional would be good.

      They\'re just ideas so far, so I don\'t really have details, but thanks for the feedback already, it\'s useful ;D


      I think having race-rep adjust or determine the frequency of the grudge attacks is a necessity, otherwise it\'d seem disjointed and random. So yes, I\'ll be writing checks on that if I can figure out the exact way the game handles the values for the race-reps.
      I think it\'d suck from the player\'s point of view if defending yourself from unprovoked attacks resulted in rep-loss, so I\'ll have to script it in such a way that killing the attackers won\'t have any effect on rep. Shouldn\'t prove too difficult, anyway.

      I think the Xenon strikes will have to vary, to keep things interesting, but the size of the strike may be dependent on the Station being taken with them. For the sake of continuity, and since the Xenon lack a TL, all station-carrying strikes will have to include at least 1 J or K.
      Yeah, the idea is that they\'ll totally take over a sector if they can. Combining this with the Race Responce Fleets and Jump-to-Protect could make for some really fun skirmishes around Xenon territory.

      You are most welcome, just doing what little I can to help .

      Also, with XI\'s; I have noted if I go to the neighboring grid and take out M7\'s and the like, I get paid for it. If one of the fleets comes strolling through during an XI, newer player could be confronted with a much larger fleet than their rank would allow. What I am saying is there some way to stop them during XI\'s? As those extra ships could potentially add +30 million on top of my already usual 30, making it 60. Which is a pretty large influx of cash at once.

      I hadn\'t thought of that, I\'ll have to bear in mind how all of this affects XIs in general. ???
      If I\'m lucky there\'ll be some way to determine when an XI is active and I could then prevent my Xenon from adding to the XI while it\'s on, but I\'ll need to experiment with that and find out.
      I usually just script things as I go along, so I won\'t know for sure until I try ;D

      I\'ll probably start work on these ideas after the release of Xtended .6.

      You know , I would mind if those XI (never had one) would have more ships... I usually go into xenon sectors in my tuned Osprey and blast them away...50-80 at a time. So if those XI would be composed of 4+K , 9-10 P , 1 Q , 20-30L , 50 M and N it would be a great addition to the game difficulties. Also , those money would be well deserved , as in order to take down all that fleet , you would net :a. A large fleet or b. One over-tuned corvette(around 60-90 millions)

      Hmm , you must be right... Not all of us go hunt xenons in a Disco(I did!)...
      It would work as a AL plugin so you could enable huge invasion fleets. I would like(if it is possible) to see invasions between races. Like this : You are in a Boron border sector and you find a bbs telling you that the Split are massing a huge fleet to conquer the ... sector. Depending of your combat rank you will fight a small fleet with the aid of some local defenders or if you are advanced enough , large fleet , little/no help. Maybe it would follow the XI pattern but that is your choice...

      Firstly: You are insane hunting Xenon in a Disco. I will go after them in my Jaguar when I want a fight, but a disco...man.
