      Default [Questions] and ideas

      hey all,
      I have a few noob questions and I hope I have posted this in the right place , if not give me a kick in the head and place this in the proper place

      well so far I am sure the mod is working correctly and is the best thing that could of happened to X3 while awaiting more good work from the creators here.
      So my questions / tips needed are
      1, OOS stands for out of sector where is OOS ? when your currently in a sector .

      2, Wing men, is there a script or have i missed something that would allow them to gain levels a pilot like UT's/CAG's etc.. and is it possible to have them use jump drive when I use it if they have enough e-cells and if they don't perhaps have a little warning message ? (if not could this be added? an option to have them buy enough e-cells if its sold in the sector currently in then returning to formation awaiting command to jump ) and on the same subject can the skill of the pilot vary in races, could it be possible to use cyborgs if the races need a pay check at the end of the day(cyborgs don't need a pay check i would think but have to be purchased)
      2a, command attack all enemies and return to formation

      3, I have the yacht from the bala Gi missions (or anything that can have ships docked) and thought if I let this dude guard or whatever but alone (no orders) and this had 2 fighters docked with him would they lunch attack/defend the m6 then re dock with him alone? just like the UT's launch drones + do the UT's get the drones to re dock again?

      4, is there a third person crosshair ? just love watching the ship I'm in blasting away at things but want to be able to see the target I'm tracking with a crosshair just like normal view as this helps when seeing the line of fire heading towards your ship for better strafing

      5, Anything that could mark on the universal map a % of danger/xenon/khaak/pirate activity (and or) a colored box around the sector red/yellow white would mean no activity , I know i could put nav sats up but this idea would be for just giving a rough estimate

      6, Another idea would be for laser recharge .Once laser's have been dried up could a script be made to use a button command to recharge the laser energy using a e-cell? ratio depending on amount of laser energy the ship has and a way for the 'AI' to use this, know about this thus stocking up more on e-cells on fighters/m6 etc etc ?

      7, i noticed an upgrade to a ship BHP . What is it ? I had cheated a ship in to see if I like it and stuff when i noticed this installed on it

      8, ok HCF cool idea have not tried this yet no rep id like to know how i can gain rep with them, expensive too (for now) could a cheaper one be made for pirates if not a ship a ship tech to be installed on anything that can carries 'x' amount of cargo space + life support same idea tho with the shields and distance. BTW i read that there is no short cut button in sending troops in have to do it all via menu has anyone been able to make it simpler ?

      9,crossfire and losing your license mostly happens with psg's near ships or rear turret next to stations anyway of toning this down not to lose the license so fast ? and some compensation lol when the AI his you with stray photons lol haaha

      10, sector take over script, so far I have not installed this , reading about his sounds coooool but can a sector come under attack by the other races ? like 'split vs boron' for example ? and might lead to eradication to a race would be cool :P and a BBS mission to perhaps help in taking that sector back ?,installed the arena/sector skirmish(never been payed yet), more NPC's ,Salvage clam, tracker mines , sector planner (just use it at times to see whats needed and where )just noticed a slowdown in load times, what are the must have mods and scripts (to me both are the same a mod :P) what are you all using ?

      11, how do u edit a post lol ?, and after all this BIG thanks for reading hope I havnt bugged anyone if i have more questions I will edit this post? or add more new posts to this post ? lol

      P.S will the team be making or still working on this mod will we see more stuff and if so can i ask for some hints as to what ya all working on :P

      I'll try and help the best I can
      1. OOS is out of sector, if your in Sector your IS. OOS does not mean you can not see stuff in that sector, it just means your ship is not in it.
      2. Skill of pilot is not race dependent, and I think to do any of that stuff you mentioned you not other scripts, none of which I have, or know the links too sorry.
      3. I don't think fighters launch on their own, I'm not sure, I'm a fighter jock myself, warships are purely defense for me, and I rarely touch M2s so not sure. When a fighter drone is launched its gone, one use only, not sure about Mk 2s I think they're considered ships so maybe reusable?
      4. If there is someplace I haven't heard of it in years, if someone knows about it please tell me, I'd love to get my hands on it.
      5. The closest to that I know about is the race ownership. Generally any sectors bordering Kha'ak/Xenon will have random patrols pass through, same for pirate sectors, same with any with a pirate base. Assuming they die there thats the end, some times they make it through defenses, and I've seen Xenon fly through kingdom end, (no idea why).
      6. I think theres a script out there like that, sounds familiar, but again I don't have it sorry.
      7. No idea.
      8. Think you just need to help the random OTAs Freighter #XYZ in some random sector, cost wise, I think there should be a pirate version, cheaper, but with much smaller cargo bay, maybe TP size?
      9. I don't use PSGs, and the police/military don't care, you got in there way after all
      10. I use it, basically any ships in the nearby surrounding territories of that faction try and retake the sector by killing your Trading Station, and the trading station decides who owns that sector, I believe this make Getsu Fune turn into a Boron colony (INVADE THE ARGONS!). I use asteroid creator, sector takeover, more NPCs, complex guide (don't know name) LVs cheat scripts (to spawn a massive hostile force when I feel like some mayhem and chaos) XXL fabs, and I think one or two others.
      11. No idea actually, and the only stupid question is the one not asked. As to this being in the right place, also no idea.
