I need a little advice. I have SPP XL + L in one complex, and I have troubles with with my transporters. My complex is in Howard Asteroid Field, so it is not very popular sector for ships, so direct sell is out. I have sth around 10 transporters selling EC for best price, but main issue is, that most of them try to sell them to one factory at the same time. For example four transporters go to Ore mine L, and most of the time, they are coming back with cargo. So I was thinking about depot. I could transport some cells to it, and sell them from two places at the same time, and also set lower price at the depot for direct sell. Is it worth it?
Of course later in the game, I can use depot for other purposes, so think about it as some kind of solution.

Use "Lucikes Script Collection for X: Terran Conflict" (Commercial Agent, Commodity Logistics Software MK1 and MK2, Economy and Supply Trader) with the fix for XTC 2.0 (search the forum). It has a set (yes/no) option "agreement with collegues" that should prevent just that.

Where is this fix? I can't find it.

Urgh! I forgot to bookmark it...I got it from a link to an Egosoft Topic from another thread here - you need part of the prior 1.2a fix for Lucikes scripts, then copy this one over it apparently... Sorry, I just tried to find it again and couldn't.

I think this information, if anyone finds it again, I think it should be stickied as Lucike's scripts are really a must have for anyone who's interested in running their own factories.

I found 1.2 fix, some things are working, some are not, but I don't know if thats because of compatibility. For example I can't choose consumer stations besides my own factories, and order " start commercial agent" doesn't work.

Found something like this, but it doesn't change anything. http://www.thexuniverse.com/threads/20437-X-Tended-Terran-Conflict-Compatibility-List-Version-1-2?p=214841&viewfull=1#post214841

Check this thread on how to install the script collection. http://www.thexuniverse.com/threads/23216-Pirate-start-FAQ/page2

Once you install it successufully, check this thread on egosoft forums on the various options for the CAG (similar threads can be found there for the other scripts, just use search function) : http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=224352

I have installed and now using CAG and its doing its job properly. Do keep in mind that the pilot for the freighter you assigned to be the CAG will need to gain experience before he can use jumpdrive, coordinate with his collegues and so on. Just have patience as XTC sectors are rather big and the factories are spread out, it will take your frieghter some time to trade and thus gain experience by flying to each destination instead of using the jumpdrive.

Just to be clear. ALL CAG pilots start out as total rookies (apprentice) during this time they can only BUY items needed by their home base. You can still specify wares - if for example you fab needed both EC's and food - so you could have a specialised EC buyer and a second FOOD buyer for example.

The required equipment is basically:

Fight Mk1 & 2 - not 100% required, but adjusts the ships behaviour to danger / combat. CAG/CLS ships will not deliberately go into a sector with hostiles - this is the No1 cause of the "my traders are just sitting there" issue, assuming they are properly configured.

Trader Mk1 and Mk2 - Mk1 is built in to TS class, so just Mk2 needs to be bought.

Trading System Extension - is essential, you ships need this in order to take training courses to advance to the next level.

Oops...gotta go...

to train CAG i used to use a cheap factory that just needs e-cells (mines/ bio) and gave them a M5 or M4 to buy E-cells ^^ so they are constantly flying back and forth. The station won't make much profit but that's not the intention of it. You can train alot of CAG that way.

Very nice trick! I think I have to use it :D

K.J. is right, training pilots for Lucike's scripts is actually really easy. This wasn't my idea of course, but it's super easy to get going, and you'll almost always have max level dudes waiting for you to use.
Buy 10 Disco raiders at the Argon Wharf with max tunings and Nav software, and send them to the EQD one sector over (you can use travel drives if you automate their EC resupply and they will train up, I just can't be bothered to do it).
Buy all 10 of them CLS 2 and dock them to the Trading Station.
Set up the first Disco to loop through Trading Stations in sirius 2, New Horizons, Sirus 2 again, and Sirius Prime. Directions for CLS waypoints:http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=127593. Just have him dock there (he doesn't need to make a purchase), then save the data and start CLS on him.
Then open CLS on the next guy, load the data you saved before, and tell him to start. Repeat x8.
Some time later, you will have 10 little Logisticians (max rank CLS pilots) that you can transfer to freighters. The best part is that you can use them as max rank EST or CAG as well. If you use CODEA or SRS, you will have to set up a sector patrol to train military pilots, but it's the same principle. Dock those guys up so they don't die or nibble away at your credits.
If you think this is powergamey, go with the first suggestion since it is more in keeping with the intention of the scripter :)
