      Default making a fleet..?

      Hi there,
      I have some questions about making a fleet.
      Ive got 250 milj to spend..
      So what are the best m1, m2, m3, m4, m6, m7, m8?
      And how many of them to buy, and also what are the best weapons, shields and missiles to equip my fleet?
      I already bought a tiger but not equiped yet because its not that simple to decied what weapons and missiles i should chose.
      Sorry for all those questions but its not simple to chose what ship with that weapon because there so many ships, weapons, misiles,....

      There is no real need for a fleet in TC.

      You have to do most of the work on your own. It would be wise to buy something around 15 durable M5 or very fast M4 to have a backup for company convoy missions. Put 5 M5 in a wing so that you get 3 wings and assign each wing to protect a TS in these missions so they can deal with those annoying enemy M5.

      Equip your Tiger with 8 Flamethrowers to the front and FAA to all turrets. Set the turrets to "Destroy enemies" and you're well prepared for 99% of all missions, even final fury doesn't require much more. A M/AM (front) and starburst (in all turrets) Springblossom will cover the rest of all missions. You'll be prepared for any upcoming patrol mission (a Tiger can kill Khaak Destroyers without sweating) and all plotmissions including the last mission of final fury.

      If you want to have something for the show, buy yourself 2 Osakas and a M2 of your choice. Let the Osakas protect you and eradicate some Xenon Sectors... but that's not a big deal, because there aren't more than 2 Xenon caps in a single sector. As i said, something for the show.

      Flamethrowers can be found in the eastern regions of LooManckStrats free for everyone with enough money to buy them... plenty in supply. If you can't buy them at once, do some missions at pirate bases, you'll gain pirate rep real quick.
      FAA are sold by the Teladi.
      Equipping terran vessels is a little bit harder.
      Buy every starburst you can find, slaughter Xenon caps like J and K. They drop them also if you're lucky.
      PSPs are dropped also by the same Xenon caps. They are easier to get in Xenon sectors, don't bother with terran fabs, it'll take ages. Equip your Tiger and slaughter Xenon caps The rest is up to you.

      I'm sorry, but i was unable to find a single sector with more than 2 caps inside. The only Khaak sector containing caps is the hive (926). My fighting rank is currently legend and i never met more than 2 Destroyer there. Every Xenon sector can contain up to five Qs, but only 2 K/J *shrug* Even Family Pride, Argon Prime, Paranid Prime and so on only contain up to 2 M2/M1.

      There are simply not enough targets to shoot at . With the current patch and the introduced turret fix i ran out of enemies, because the spawn is to low (leaving those Qs and Corvettes aside). The only faster respawn is the Shuri in Weavers Tempest... but it gets boring to shoot down a helpless carrier *sniggers* 4 CIGs in the front turret and only up to 30 fighters. No match for an Odysseus, even without the turret fix patch

      The only way to get more enemies is to shoot down all Xenon SY and slaughter the Xenon exodus... but that's no match, because they come in a row.

      Can we hope for a mod or patch to add more spawns?

      If you compare XTM and X3:Reunion you can clearly see that XTM is more fighting related than the vanilla game. And for TC i'm more than 100% sure that we will see enough enemies. Don't ask too loud, you may get what you want At least, they DO listen to their fanbase and they take it serious... so we may get into serious trouble if we still remain in our relaxed vanilla expectations

      TC is already very combat-based as far as I can tell. I've just had a patrol that led my poor M4 Buster into a 1vs 4 engagement with M3's.

      Let me tell you, if it wasnt for the new mouse controls, I'd have bashed my skull against the horribly useless keyboard.

      Aye, and you don't need a fleet with the inception of the M7M, you just need to be able to feed em. I recommend making a complex for flail barrages missiles and the hammer torpedoes and then buying the Aquilo from Otas. It can hit 120 m/s and has a missile armament that will reduce fleets to scrap, provided you can feed its appetite for ammo

      I'm hoping for a re-release of Race Response fleets to liven things up a bit. I loved fleets in the original, and with all the ravings-on about fleet battles being easier and more fun, I'd love to try some larger scale chaos!
