      Default Comprehensive guides/walkthroughs for XTC?

I played x3:reunion for about a week... but spent about a month learning how to play on these forums. I only played a week because my hard drive crashed for unrelated reasons. Annnnd this was about half a year ago so I totally forget everything :P

Anyway, I just got X3:TC and I really want to learn how to play. I'm a total noob,newb,nub,etc...

Are there any walkthroughs/guides out yet? or are there ones for X3:R that still work for X3:TC? Specifically ones suggesting how to get going in the beginning of the game.

I have tons of questions that I can't find, other wise I would not have posted this. It seems like most posters on these forums are very (x)3ducated.

      Default thanks alot!

      I will look into them.

At first glance the handbook seemed more informational than instructional but I guess it is kinda helpful after all

The Von Draxis Approach works every time (the combination of random tinkering and blind luck...) Any way, its fairly intuitive and easy enough, you'll get the hang of it really quickly. Just adjust the controls to fit your play style.

Personally id start at the terran plot via new game terran defender i belive, follow the flight leaders instructions, this should get you flyting and fighting and docking and basic trading. further more, terran plot is first its long and will be about a few weeks of normal play, second is the escort and establishing sector m148 called final fury, third is the hub mission, i wont ruin it for you by explining it here. the next is help the gonars reestablish a new gonar temple, last is phq, you get a nice headquarters to store unused ships.
you will need tons and tons of ore, silicon waffers, telladianium, ecells, quantum tubes, takes forever really to get it all up and running.
triuck is to use the largest transports and train your uni traders earlly so you can move the up to mill traders or super freighters
id even say a big improvement to the game as is is would be a mega trader
      it would spreed things up.
if you need pointers let me know

"dont!...dont, call me friend .... pup... unless yas be known what that entails....."
" respect ya says, well lad its something eys given yas if i sees some work from yas, now, Put your back into it you lazy dog!"

Hey thanks marcus. So I actually have gotten the hang of it so far... 2mill credits, an elite, and a dolphin tanker that is sector trading (level 4). I haven't started the main quest yet because I want to get enough credits to buy an M3 or at least something stronger than my elite. So i have 2 questions:

What ship should I get that is around 2mil or should i save up a bit more for something even bigger?

      annnd

What is the best sector to sector trade in? - I don't know where much is in the universe yet. Ive been fiddling around in the sectors near Home of Perpetuity...

Thanks a bunch for helping out the new guy!

For trade infor this thread helped alot.

      http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=13486

Personally I found Profit Center Alpha and Omicron Lyrae with 2 jumps setting helpful enough to train up rookies.

There are a few other good ideas about Draxus Pirate Guide has some good tricks in it also. Stations are where the real big cash is, its nothing to be making 40-60 million over night with the right combination. With that income you dont mind lossing a few birds.
