      Angry Patrol Command Software Problem

Need help on the patrol command in TC, what's wrong? I installed the patrol command SW on Normandy and let it patrol in one sector. In X3:R bonus pack, you need to select 4 positions as the patrol checkpoints. But in TC, you don't, it just start cruising (along the stations?). Anyway, it doesn't matter. I don't care the patrol path it flying through but the problem is: it doesn't want to engage the enemy !! . The pirate squad just pass through my Normandy and killing my Mercury at will. I do installed all the lasers on Normandy in main and all turrets and set turret command to attack "attack enemy". Did I miss some necessary settings?? Anyone else has the same problem?

Thanks a lot in advance !

BTW: I installed X3:TC with 1.4 patch, Normandy ship mode (as a false patch) and the cheat script using plug-in manager.

      hello pengy

      well
maybe the pirates were still set to friendly in the ships friend / foe recognition section =p
best to change that in global commands so ya dont gotta repeat for every ship lol
why they even start off as friendly is beyond me
and by the looks of it..the points are chosen between the halfway point between the gates

      hope that helps abit lol

Thanks, buddy, that could be the point.

I haven't noticed the settings before because they are set correctly from beginning. Maybe this time only Xenon and K are REAL enemies for Terran :-) Others are just "Conflicts..."

Sorry Catra I've tried it but it seems not the answer. I even added a Xenon ship but my Normandy still treat it as transparent.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I'll wait for another proposal...

      that is ashame =|
anywho...you can always do this workaround till then =p
set a single patrol ship to 2 sectors (overlap be useful here so ya got a patrol running at all times)
then select w/e ships you want to patrol with
and select attack nearest enemy of(MK2 combat software has that command i think)...and select the patrol ship
      and voila
      sector patrol =3

i personally do that method with a carrier / a few TMs so the fighters arent buzzin around causin trouble =p

Thanks, Catra. That is actually the way I am using as well though I am still far to afford a carrier. Instead, I am using a Cutlass as the patroling ship and Normandy (customer M6) as the attacking force. Cutlass is rather fast and has 150MJ (25x6) shield and could be safe to survive the stray bullets; Normandy has a 250 m/s speed (Quite high as a M6, only next to Springblossoming I guess) and could be enough to catch any pirate figher squad. This combination should work quite well in usual sector protection tasks except the ones where Xenon Q or Pirate Gallon will show up.

For the critical sectors, I usually use M2 for patrol in X3:R but now how? Create a M2/M1 or M2/M2 pair and continue the above solution? Too expensive to me. But if use a small/medium ship as the patrol one and it might be killed directly by enemy big ships before the attacking force can protect it. Thus the patrol will break.

I REALLY want the old patrol command BACK !!

well...ya really dont need to worry bout big ships attacking =p
everyone is stingy in using their big ships for offense and usually jus attack with small groups of m5s, m4s, and m3s (unless youre using http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum/sh...threadid=13553 with the extreme mode..then the xenon / khaak / pirates / yaki are gonna have an ample supply of hurt to bring to your doorstep =p)
and having a working patrol command would be nice..soooo
/signed bring the old working one back =]
