Default Tiger and Boarding pods ?

As the title states, is the Tiger capable of carrying Bb for marines ?

Can i use it for capping ships ?

Boarding pods can only be used by M7M fregattes. The Tiger is 'just' a M7. So the correct answer is 'NO'.

The ingame informtion system shows every ships that can mount bp's. Simply open the cargo menue, select the boarding pods and press <i>. When you scoll dowm you can see additional informations.

I am in the terran mission whera at i have to cap a TS ship for further investigation about xenon activities in Family Zyarth sector. What you are telling me is, to buy a M7M class ship, to train marines and then to cap the TS. Is this the way to be ?

No. TS can be taken over by shooting down the shields and part of it's hull. This works always in storyline but seldom in free play or generic missions. This is called CAPPING. To use marienes and boarding pods is called BOARDING.

Ships that can be taken over by capping: M5, M4, M4P, M3, M3P, TS and TP.

Ships that can be taken over by boarding: M6, M7, M7M, M2, M1, TM and TL.

I appologize if i forgot to mention something.

EDIT: Just take a fighter (M3 or M3P) equipt it with any weapons you like (beside particle cannon and ion disruptor) - best solution are the Pulsed Beam Emitters - and engage the TS after you scanned it. Take down the shields and the hull until you get the message that the pilot surrenders. It might be a good idea to create a safegame before starting this procedure.

      Thanks Badman76.

I know the difference between capping and boarding.
I simply didn't know that "bailing out" was the answer.

      Thanks again.
