      Came across this interesting article in an online tech mag I get sent to me...

      nice if they can do it
      as long as they improve the life of SSDs and keep the cost down also as long as they fail to read only or thats a lot of data to loose in one go

      im with thetack here, i think the technology needs to improve a little more before they stuff a pile of it into a box and sell it as a usable product. a 10tb SSD would be handy, but after a few years it would start shrinking... rapidly. maintaining a backup of these files would require another 10tb system somewhere, so personally i think i would be more inclinded to use the hardware that was intended to backup the SSD since it is proven, time tested hardware that doesnt have the failure rate of SSDs.
